KARIN LOMBARDOZZI - Founder & Teacher

Karin Lombardozzi left war-torn Germany in 1953 as a seventeen year old teenager for South-West Africa (as it was then called), to become an au pair.  She decided to stay on in Southern Africa and commenced her training as a nurse in Pretoria in 1956.
In 1965 she got married and subsequently raised three sons with her Italian husband, Vic.

1981 she returned to Nursing, obtaining a post-graduate degree in Nursing Administration and Education from the University of South Africa. She worked in different positions in Nursing Management, her last involving the commissioning and administration of a private clinic. In Nursing Education she had the opportunity to work as a clinical instructor in the ward situation, as a tutor at the B.G Alexander College in Johannesburg, and as a lecturer at UNISA in Pretoria.

1992 she left nursing to follow her interest in alternative medicine, studying Reiki I+II, Aura Soma I+II, Homoeopathy, Schuessler Tissue Salts and Polarity Therapy. She also did a course in a gentle mode of Reflexology Therapy and learned Chris Stormer’s ‘The Language of the Feet’.

Soon she realized that her approach to ’reading the feet’ was totally different from what she had been taught. Instead of giving clients a obvious interpretation of the features on the feet, she provided pointers to a variety of possible issues until they ‘stumbled’ over an  interpretation; illuminating their specific situation and bringing about an ‘aha’ moment resulting in emotional, mental, spiritual and/or physical release. These issues would have been still hidden in the subconscious mind if not awoken by the ‘memory energy’.

During her 15 years of observing feet and reading a wide range of literature, including scientific research papers, she was constantly guided along the ‘footpath’ to practice, observe and discover endless new sides to, as well as teach this, remarkable new therapy.

Footology Therapy™ has been given exposure in numerous South African radio interviews, a television program (Free Spirit) and articles in newspapers and magazines, including Odyssey, Renaissance, Rooi Rose (click on ‘Tydskrif  Artikel) and Shape, in both English and Afrikaans. The response she received every time made her realize that there is tremendous public interest – and not only in South Africa, for she had requests from people wanting to study the method from as far as the UK, USA and Australia.

Karin is in the process of writing a book on Footology Therapy™

She is also a passionate teacher and treasures the uniqueness of each student.
